There are wristwatches - and not only a few - that cost more than $50,000, some more than $100,000, some even more than $250,000 and a few even more than $1,000,000.

Question is: who is rich and at the same time crazy enough to wear a small piece of conventional mechanical tech for that kind of money on his wrist? Most people buy houses for that kind of money.

The answer is rather simple: like other works of art, these kind of watches are not in the first place ways to find out what time it is, but ways to store your money in a more lasting kind of investment than currency on a banking account.

However, not every watch brand is suitable as such a form of investment. If you consider investing in a watch (or several watches) the most important rule is the same like with any other form of investment: do not loose your money!
